Program Raises Money and Honors this Year’s Modern Hispanic Gentlemen

Chicago, Ill. (February 28, 2012) – Ketel One® Vodka and Men’s Book Chicago have partnered together to create the first-ever Chicago “Modern Hispanic Gentlemen” program to recognize outstanding gentlemen who support and impact Chicago’s philanthropic Hispanic community.

Three influential Hispanics, who embody the style and substance of a Ketel One modern gentleman, were selected and Ketel One® Vodka will make a donation to three local charities selected by each participant.

The four event series will run from March through June of 2012 and includes a celebration honoring each gentleman individually. In addition to Ketel One® Vodka’s donation, a silent auction will be held to help participants raise money for their charity. Below is the event schedule for each finalist and their selected charity:

·     March 6, 2012 - Eric Vazquez, Founder of CB Accelerate, and his charity the Illinois Education Foundation
·     March 28, 2012 - Emigdio Gamboa, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Chicago Fire, and his charity, Urban Initiatives
·     May 21, 2012 - Jackson Miranda, Manager of Cultural Development for the Chicago White Sox, and his charity, Clara’s House

“We are truly pleased to be working with Ketel One on this program that identifies some of Chicago’s most philanthropic Hispanic figures,” said Amy Wimer, Publisher of Men’s Book Chicago. “Giving back to the community is one of the most important virtues a gentleman can possess and we are honored to recognize these modern gentlemen alongside Ketel One.”

Supporters of the charities, event series and the gentlemen are encouraged to celebrate the honorees responsibly by attending their individual event, enjoying cocktails and visiting the official Modern Hispanic Gentlemen website (www.modernhispanicgentlemen.com <http://modernhispanicgentlemen.com/> ), which launched the week of Feb. 20. The program concludes with an exclusive event on Thursday, June 21, 2012 where the results of the auctions will be unveiled and one gentleman will be awarded an additional $2,500 donation to his charity.
